WALLACE SIGNS FOR STARS

The King’s Lynn ‘Roger Warnes Transport’ Stars have moved quickly to re-complete their 2010 title defending team and last night announced live on Star TV the signing of 21 year old, Ricky Wallace. Ricky shares British and Australian Partiality and is the great nephew of former World Number 2, Billy Sanders, who also had a brief spell with the Stars in the early 1980’s.

Ricky was raised in Gilliby, NSW and ventured over to the UK for the first time two seasons ago when he caught the eye of King’s Lynn Promoter, Buster Chapman ‘Ricky had a few practice laps and races here at King’s Lynn and he looked very good. Over this winter he made a deal with Peterborough to become their asset and they arranged to bring him over to the UK and work as part of Lewis Bridger’s pit crew whilst also looking for a team place in either the National or Premier League, he obviously now has that with us and I am sure he will have a fantastic season’.

Off the back of some good performances in Australia over the winter, including a paid 17 points where he outscored Alex Davies, Sam Masters and Kurt Shields, Ricky comes to King’s Lynn with a glowing report from Rod Colqehoun ‘Every now and then a kid comes along who has that something special, Ricky is one of these special young riders’.

Rob Lyon is pleased about the signing ‘Luckily for us it has all worked out after the disappointment of losing Alex, Ricky seems like an out and out racer and I am sure the fans will quickly take to him, especially seeing he is a relation of Billy Sanders. I also believe it is great that he is part of Lewis Bridger’s Pit crew, that will help him immensely and I am sure that Lewis will also be happy to help him out in the pits on occasions’.

It is also hoped that Ricky will join the Young Stars as a replacement for Alex Davies but team manager, Dale Allitt, has to wait before he can confirm his place ‘it would be great if Ricky could join us but he has a busy season ahead helping Lewis as well as racing for the Stars, so he needs to see how many of the dates are do able before he can confirm his place in the team’.

Star TV’s first live broadcast was extremely successful with guest appearances from Rob Lyon, Buster Chapman and Lewis Bridger plus their new signing Ricky Wallace. Fans can see a replay of the hour long episode on www.klstars.co.uk. Stars TV will go live again next Monday at 7pm with Kozza Smith already confirmed as a guest with more names to come soon.
