Stars looking to bounce back after misery at home

This Wednesday night at 7:30pm the King's Lynn 'Money Centre' Stars will have to put their miseries away from last Friday's Premier Trophy home defeat against Birmingham and bounce back to winning ways in their first home league meeting of the season against the highly rated Edinburgh Monarchs.

The Stars have already put amends to their defeat on Friday by starting the league campaign in fashion by securing a draw at Workington on Saturday night and a win away at Glasgow on Sunday. Last Friday's home defeat has probably been worrying a lot of fans, but Rob Lyon believes his team has what it takes to still go all the way: "Last Friday night was just a blip, it happens once in a while in every type of sport and it proves we are not invincible. It has though helped us to refocus and I believe we will become a better team from it. The defeat will no doubt now encourage every team that visits us to battle that little bit harder because they believe they have seen a weakness, but we will do everything we can to counteract it. Edinburgh will be very tough and they will be smelling blood already, but we want to get back to winning ways so it should be an interesting match!"

The Monarchs are fielding their strongest team in years and the Stars will really be up against it. They are lead by American Ryan Fisher and Swedish sensation Thomas Jonasson, they also have former Kings Lynn Star, Matthew Wethers, in the middle order along with William Lawson and Derek Sneddon. Their reserve pairing is where they are especially strong around the Norfolk Arena with Andrew Tully and Aaron Summers, both riders having plenty of experience in recent weeks round the track after competing in the British Under 21 qualifying round and also for the Redcar Cubs in Conference league.
