STARS STUDY CENTRE

The King's Lynn Speedway Study Centre is the

first of its kind in the world. The UK has over

a hundred of these study centres with most

of them being linked to big football clubs

like Manchester United and Liverpool FC

but unlike these, where education is tied into

the aspects of football, here education is tied

into motorsport, namely Speedway!

The Centre is located only a couple of miles

from the home of the King's Lynn Stars and

is regularly attended by the team's riders

and management. Around seventy to ninety

pupils a term go through the Centre and they

can lbecome involved in anything from

mathematics (for instance: adding up the

scores of riders) to English language (e.g.

writing a newspaper report about a rider).

It is fun and encourages children who may be

reluctant to learn to become part of a team

and do just that!
